November 2019 Newsletter

It is done! I published my first novel – Over the Horizon—in October 2018. If having kids is like watching my heart walk around in the world outside my body, then publishing a book is like sending pieces of my soul into the world. For my first time, I choose a slow and gentle approach to the book launch. Giving myself time to breathe and work on home projects before starting my next novel Earthlings – Origin.

The holiday season approaches quickly and many folks will spend time with families, some will travel, and some will cozy up near the home fires. Try not to stress out friends.

My favorite thing about the holidays is feeding people, side-splitting laughter, and making memories. Last thanksgiving, we had a friend at our house. We ate delicious food, shared amazing stories and laughed so hard we cried. Oh, and I broke a chair mid-bite. There is nothing like holding a fork ready to send a pile of homemade mashed potatoes and gravy down the gullet, only to hear cracking wood and feel a small jolt under my butt. Yep! The chair broke while we were eating dinner. It was a laugh or cry moment. This holiday season, I hope you laugh.

And if you need a simple gift for that certain someone who has everything or the work-party you don’t want to go to or the secret-Santa you feel obligated to participate in, I’ve got the perfect gift:  Over the Horizon – ships directly from Amazon is budget friendly and provides hours of entertainment.
